The Pokémon Legends: Z-A Mega Dimension DLC will bring new story content, Mega Evolutions, and even more Pokémon for your Pokédex.

In true Pokémon DLC fashion, Mega Dimension is split into two separate content waves in Pokémon Legends: Z-A. So while you'll only have to purchase it once, you will need to wait for the release date to get your hands on all the available content. Remember, to play the DLC you must have the base game!

Without further ado, here's everything included in the Pokémon Legends Z-A Mega Dimension DLC.

Everything included in the Pokémon Legends Z-A Mega Dimension DLC

The Mega Dimension DLC for Pokémon Legends: Z-A is split into two halves. The first half was available at launch and let you access two free outfits, however the more substantial part of the DLC that contains story content (plus much more) is available on Wednesday 10th December 2026.

One important thing you must know before we dive into the DLC in more detail is that you must have completed the main story campaign of Z-A before you can access the new story content in the DLC.

Holo-X and Holo-Y Apparel

These two outfits are available now, and have been since the launch of Z-A. When you purchase the DLC, you'll gain access to these two clothing items. We've got a seperate guide detailing how to get the Holo-X and Holo-Y apparel sets. These are the only two items and content additions given in part one of the DLC and you can obtain them at any time, regardless of your progress through the main campaign.

Now, onto everything coming in part 2 of Mega Dimension...

Spatial Distortions

Spatial distortions are forming all over Lumiose City. A mysterious girl called Hansha appears at Hotel Z with a Hoopa as her companion. Borrow Hoopa's power to enter the distortion with Team MZ - within, you'll find another world that looks like Lumiose City but something isn't quite right. This is called Hyperspace.

There are different Pokémon here than the ones you'll find in Lumiose and they can all easily exceed Level 100. Here are the Pokémon we've spotted so far:

  • Galarian Mr Mime
  • Garganacl
  • Wimpod
  • Golisopod
  • Cubone
  • Alolan Marowak

Ansha's Donuts

Ansha doesn't just give you her Hoopa, she'll also make Donuts you can give to Hoopa to strengthen its power. The stronger the Hoopa is, the more spatial distortions it will be able to open for you and let you enter new parts of Hyperspace.

Some examples of these are:

  • Pecha Meringue Donut
  • Oran Chocolate Donut
  • Aspear Jam Donut
  • Tamato Curry Donut
  • Sitrus Rainbow Donut
  • Chesto Cream Donut
  • Cheri Curry Donut

Also, if you use the Berries that you find around Hyperspace you can make stronger and more effective Donuts that will grant different effects in Hyperspace - like boosting your own Pokémon. They can give you the edge you need to take on the high-level Pokémon within the distortions.

X and Y Gym Leader, Korrina, will join Team MZ as part of the Mega Dimension DLC, helping you investigate, explore and solve the mysteries of Hyperspace.

New Mega Evolutions

Mega Chimecho will be joining the ranks as a newly discovered Mega Evolution! Chimecho in this form has the ability to unleash strong soundwave attacks. They're not alone though...

Mega Baxcalibur is also another newly discovered Mega Evolution. In this form, Baxcalibur has a large blade on its back and can smash into enemies, as well as being able to inflict substantial ice damage.

Mega Zeraora has now been confirmed to be part of the Mega Dimension DLC. Leaks had long suspected that this mythical would one) be making an appearance in Legends: Z-A and two) get a new Mega Evolution form. This has all been confirmed on Wedneday 19th November! Judging by this Pokémon's mythical status, there's a good chance you'll be obtaining this Pokémon, along with its Mega Stone, by progressing through the DLC's campaign.

Mega Raichu X and Mega Raichu Y

Last but not least, let's not forget Mega Raichu X and Mega Raichu Y. Mega Raichu Y uses amplified electricity to attack enemies while Mega Raichu X uses electromagnetism to form its attacks. Both Pokémon will need different Mega Stones to turn into their Mega Evolutions.
