Ashes of the Damned easter egg loadout recommendation
Much like previous Zombies easter eggs, you’ll need to be prepared for the long haul, particularly as you enter the later rounds which will pose more of a challenge than anything else prior.
Most of your important equipment will be found during matches via upgrades, perks, and more, but there are a few aspects you can tweak which can give you an edge throughout the match - though these can also be changed mid-match if you really need to.
Here’s our recommended starter loadout for the Ashes of the Damned main quest easter egg:
- Weapon: Player preference
- Tactical: Stim Shot / Stun Grenade (for one of the quest steps)
- Lethal: Semtex
- Field Upgrade: Player preference
Your starter weapon can pretty much be anything you want - pick a favourite to upgrade through tiers, or just something with decent ammo and strong enough for the opening rounds.
Tactical-wise, Stim Shot can be good for a bit of survivability, same with Semtex which can be thrown into groups of zombies for high damage, but you’ll potentially end up swapping both of these out as you find different equipment in matches.
As for your Field Upgrade, you can go with whatever you feel suits your playstyle well. We personally like to go for the Energy Mine, but could easily swap it out for the Healing Aura - especially on solo runs. Ultimately though, your choice here is almost entirely in your hands, as are the various Augments you equip - which you’ll want to be researching and equipping across all your Perks, Ammo Mods, and Field Upgrades to improve their performance.
Once you’ve got everything in order, it’s now time to jump into the match and get easter egg-ing.
How to get Pack a Punch and begin the easter egg main quest in Ashes of the Damned
The first port of call when starting the main quest in Ashes of the Damned is getting Pack-a-Punch up and running.
We’ve got a handy guide on how to Pack a Punch linked below if you’d like to give that a read for the full details, but once Ol’ Tessie’s engine is roaring and the weapon upgrade machine is yours, it’s time to move onto the real meat of the quest.
Read on for more details, but here’s a high-level view of the key steps you’ll need to complete to properly begin the main quest - feel free to work on some of these as you progress through the first main steps:
- Pack-a-Punch
- Friendly Klaus Ally
- Necrofluid Gauntlet Wonder Weapon
- Ol’ Tessie Abomination Beam upgrade
Once in the match, it’s up to you the order you do some of these opening steps, but you’ll want to prepare along the way by grabbing the perks you want, upgrading your favourite weapons, and more etc.
It’s up to you how you go about it, but keep in mind the higher the round gets, the more challenging it’ll become and so you might want to focus on as much of the prep and easter egg steps as possible together as you go.
The same is true for the crafting of the Necrofluid Gauntlet Wonder Weapon. Whilst you can work on building that as you go after some of the Serum parts we’ll outline in the next section, we’d definitely recommend making it somewhat a priority since not only is it a powerful weapon, it is also required to make progress through the main quest.
In the process, you’ll also want to go and turn on the other power pump you didn’t go to when unlocking Pack a Punch, and recruit Klaus as an ally.
As a final note about this quest - and map in general: You'll need to be moving through dangerous, foggy areas a lot, with many items that can only be found in these areas. It's recommended you enter these areas prepared as the enemies here can elminate you very quickly.
Once you’re all set though, it’s time to jump into the meat of the easter egg main quest.
Where to find all Serum parts in Ashes of the Damned
In the first main step of the quest, you’ll be hunting for various Serum ingredients, most of which can be found at any point, but others require other items such as the Necrofluid Gauntlet, or Abomination upgrade for Tessie.
We’ll be ordering them in a way that most closely allows them to be picked up whilst you’re working on building the Necrofluid Gauntlet, and upgrading Tessie, but keep in mind that the last couple of the Serum ingredients in this list do require either the wonder weapon or Abomination upgrade for Tessie.
Jar of Spores and Widow’s Lantern fungus location
The first item on the list to collect is the Jar of Spores from a kitchen in the cabin at Blackwater Lake. It’s best to complete this one first since you’ll need to use it to get the main ingredient, and the process - whilst automated - takes a couple of rounds.
First, head to Blackwater Lake and open up the cabin to access the kitchen. In here, on a shelf below the worktop, you’ll find the Jar of Spores.
Once you’ve got it, head to Vandorn Farm and interact with a dead horse found outside the main gates. This will apply the spores to the horse, and then in a few rounds, you’ll be able to return to the dead horse to collect the Widow’s Lantern fungus.
Feel free to continue looking into finding the other ingredients during the time this is growing, then return a bit later to collect the main item.
Ravager Eyes location
This next one is fairly straightforward and one you can also get pretty early, most conveniently on a Ravager round (when the screen goes all map goes all yellow and foggy, and the only enemies you fight are Ravagers).
Whether you do it on one of these rounds or coax one in from another location, you’ll need to activate one of the Saw Blade Traps to kill one of these enemies. Once they’re down, the Ravager Eyes should appear on the ground as an item you can pick up.
Human Bones location
This next ingredient requires two specific items: Combat Axe and a Molotov.
What you’ll need to do is head over to Vandorn Farm, and throw a Combat Axe at the foot of the corpse hanging down around the centre of the room. Their foot will drop to the floor, and you’ll then need to use a Molotov to burn the foot.
Once it’s burned, the Human Bones can be collected and added to your inventory.
Hoard Husk Chunks location
This ingredient and the ones to follow all require either the Abomination upgrade for Ol’ Tessie, or the Necrofluid Gauntlet and Wisp Tea, and so if you haven’t already, it’s best to get them now.
For this specific ingredient, you’ll need to use the Abomination Beam attack on Ol’ Tessie to destroy purple-glowing plants in the foggy areas between each main zone. These spawn in random places, so you might have to look around a bit, but they stand out and aren’t too easy to miss - it’s entirely possible you’ll have seen one by this point too.
Once you find it, use the beam attack to destroy the plant, and then search through the various items it dropped to find the Hoard Husk Chunks.
As a side note, these plants are worth destroying when you see them as you can get all sorts of rewards from them, including extra armor.
Mysterious Limb location
This next ingredient requires you to kill a Zursa - the yellow-eyed bears - with the Abomination Beam on Ol’ Tessie.
These enemies seemingly don’t appear till around round 16, so you’ll have to wait a bit before you can get this part.
Since they can have a lot of health, it seems like you are able to weaken the bear a bit with standard weapons before finishing them off with the Abomination Beams, but if that doesn’t work, it’d be best to stick to just the Beam.
Once the bear is down, if done correctly, it’ll drop a Mysterious Limb.
Powder of the Forgotten location
The final ingredient of this process requires the Necrofluid Gauntlet as well as the Wisp Tea perk - the latter of which you can purchase from the perk machine in Zarya Cosmodrome, a Der Wunderfizz machine, or get it for free via this easter egg.
Once you’ve got both of them, head to Ashwood and into the small building pictured below.
In this building, you’ll find a mirror that damages you when standing nearby it. What you’ll want to do is kill zombies in this area until a wisp from the perk appears, at which point, it’ll float over to the mirror, activating it and changing the image.
Once this has happened, use the Necrofluid Gauntlet to destroy the mirror. As the glass shatters, you’ll spot the Powder of the Forgotten on the ground - pick that up and then you’ll be ready to move onto the final part of this step.
Yuri’s Lab location and Cipher puzzle solution in Ashes of the Damned
As you’ve been collecting the different ingredients for the Serum, they’ll all appear within petri dishes in Yuri’s Lab which you can find in the Zarya Cosmodrome zone.
At this point, you can interact with the powder on the right side, which causes smoke to rise and a sequence of symbols to appear on the board behind them all.
Each set of symbols in a line are the same, but the order in which the three sets of symbols appear is random, and this is pulling from five potential sets of symbols that each represent one of the ingredients you’ve collected - so you’ll see three of the possible five each time essentially.
If you’d like to figure out the order yourself, here are the first two symbols in each set which denote the corresponding ingredient - these have been organised left to right based on their petri dish location:
- >J is Human Bones
- LC is the Hoard Husk Chunks
- C< is the Widow’s Lantern (fungus)
- CL is the Ravager Eyes
- L, upside-down L are Mysterious Limbs
If you’d instead like a clearer view of what each set of symbols correlates to however, check this image below from the r/codzombies wiki.
The idea here is that you’ll need to interact with three ingredients in the order that the symbols on the board lists them in. You’ll want to make sure you’re standing in the right place, and looking directly at these items first and then use your interact button.
To confirm whether or not you’ve done it correctly, there will be different lines of dialogue. If you fail it, you may have to wait until the following round to try the process again.
Done correctly, however, red smoke will appear alongside a new prompt to 'Add Blood'.
Doing this will then lead you to a lockdown sequence in which you and your team will be trapped in the lab and forced to survive. Not just that, but the player who executes the puzzle will also have their health reduced too - though it should gradually replenish through the encounter.
This can be a challenging process, especially for solo players, and so we recommend being ready to deal with the wave of enemies here with the best perks and weapons you can ready yourself with.
As you defeat zombies, their souls will enter into the flask you interacted with to start the trial. Once you’ve completed this sequence, you’ll be able to exit the room and continue on with the next part of the main quest.
Ashwood puzzle box solution and Nightbird Key locations
This step somewhat marks the halfway point for the main quest of Ashes of the Damned and is a little more straightforward compared to the prior step’s trials.
You’ll be looking for three different keys at various locations around the map, each of which gives you a temporary debuff after being picked up. Your job is to take them to a newly-appeared pyramid box in Rabbit Alley in the Ashwood area - the rappel to the right of the garage takes you there.
You can collect the keys in any order, but we're going with Green, Yellow, and then Red. Feel free to pick a different order if you'd prefer though.
Additionally, you will require the Necrofluid Gauntlet once again for this step, specifically to shoot and collect the items by using its reload or ADS function to pull in and collect the keys since they are found in spots outside of the map.
With that in mind, solo players especially will want to make sure they are prepared - if they weren’t before!
Green Key location
The first key we’ll be looking for is the Green Key which can be found in the Ship area - located between Vandorn Farm and Ashwood locations.
As for the debuff, this key will slow your movement, so be sure to use Ol’ Tessie to make the journey more manageable.
There are three locations to find the Green Key in Ashes of the Damned:
- One is in the corner of a blue shipping container on the ship's deck
- One is on the ship's deck inside of a window
- One is underneath, inside the ship, between two barrels
Once you’ve got the key, take it back to and interact with the box in Ashwood.
Yellow Key location
The second key we’ll be hunting is Yellow, and you’ll be able to find it in areas between Ashwood and Zarya Cosmodrome.
As for its debuff, this one locks you to your melee weapon, meaning you won’t be able to shoot your gun whilst carrying it.
Here are the three locations to find the Yellow Key in Ashes of the Damned:
- Inside the fallen radio tower/pylon
- On the corner on top of one of the buildings near the array at one of Zarya Cosmodrome's exits
- On the cliffside outside of an Ashwood gate leading to Zarya Cosmodrome
Once you’ve found the key, collect it with the Necrofluid Gauntlet and take it back to the Pyramid Box in Ashwood.
Red Key location
The third and final Red Key is found in the Orda Graveyard location, which is located between Ashwood and Zarya Cosmodrome.
Picking up this key prevents your health regeneration, so be sure to rely on teammates to defend you, or Ol’ Tessie to get away from danger quickly.
These are the three locations at which you can find the Red Key in Ashes of the Damned:
- Behind the skull in the T-Rex closest to the Ashwood gate
- In the mouth of the T-Rex up on the cliff (need to be on a hill in front to hit it)
- Nearby a Janus Towers vehicle in the snow - can be found close to the Diner-Ashwood path
After finding the key, return it to the chained Pyramid box in Ashwood and - requiring this is the last key you’re using - will trigger a story cutscene.
Following the cutscene, you’ll also be rewarded with the DG-2 Turret Barrel, another upgrade for Ol’ Tessie which you’ll be making good use of in the following steps.
This turret upgrade for Ol’ Tessie gives you an automated and manual turret to shoot enemies and more that is key to the next part of the main quest.
Zarya Cosmodrome Souls and Array puzzle
Following the cutscene, you’ll return to the game and be free to continue on with the quest.
There have now been a few map changes too, one of the most notable being the clock tower that is now hovering over Ashwood. This is key to the next steps of the main quest.
Your first objective here is to upgrade Ol’ Tessie with the DG-2 turret inside the garage. After which, you’ll need to use the turret to shoot one of the clock faces and stop it from moving - whilst the turret shoots automatically, you’ll have to do this part manually.
If the clock is shot correctly, the time on the clock will stop. You'll then need to shoot and explode a shot from the Necrofluid Gauntlet to cause yourself to start glowing purple, and you’ll now need to visit different spots around the map to complete the next steps.
It's worth noting here however that this process is not only timed, but you can only shoot three of the clock faces once per round. So that means, if you run out of time whilst you are purple, or mess something up, you'll have a limited number of attempts each round. You'll be needing to hit the clock a few times for the rest of the quest, so it might be best to read each section first before trying to complete them.
Cosmodrome Array locations
The first location to visit is Zarya Cosmodrome which you can get to quickly using a Jump Pad in Ashwood.
When you arrive, you’ll notice two of its arrays are spinning around at high speed.
You’ll need to shoot these with the Necrofluid Gauntlet which will then cause a purple mist to surround the array.
After this, head back to Ashwood to shoot another clock face to empower you with purple energy once more, and then return to Zarya Cosmodrome to shoot the other array.
Done correctly though, this will trigger the next part of this step.
Zarya Cosmodrome Array TV puzzle solution
Once the previous step is done, you’ll notice two sets of TVs inside the Command Center at Zarya Cosmodrome flickering through different things.
One set of two TVs are displaying various symbols, whereas the other set of four are cycling through random numbers.
The idea here is to use the symbols on the set of two TVs to figure out a specific word, and then shoot red buttons on the other TVs when it’s displaying a number that corresponds to the letter of that word in the alphabet.
Confusingly, it starts counting from 0 with 0 being a, 1 being b, 2 being c etc.
The four possible words are as follows:
- Rocket
- Engine
- Launch
- Weapon
Similar to the cipher you solved in Yuri’s Lab, this is another Pig Pen cipher. Feel free to figure it out yourself, but below is an image to showcase each word and how it corresponds to the four words mentioned above if you want to skip to the numbers part explained below.
Once you’ve got your word, you’ll then need to figure out the numbers they correspond to based on the letter’s position in the alphabet.
Feel free to figure this out yourself, but if not, here are the numbers for each word’s letters:
- Rocket is 17 - 14 - 02 - 10 - 04 -19
- Engine is 04 - 13 - 06 - 08 - 13 - 04
- Launch is 11 - 00 - 20 -13 - 02 - 07
- Weapon is 22 - 04 - 00 - 15 - 14 -13
The process of shooting the red light on each TV when it displays the number you need for your word needs to be done relatively quickly though, as if you make a mistake or take too long, you’ll unfortunately have to wait until the following round to try again.
Not just that, but the words will change if you fail the step - and you’ll have to not only repeat that process, but also the purple-charged radar shooting step beforehand.
Doing this all correctly however, will cause the nearby rocket to launch and you’re free to move onto the next step.
Exit 115 Diner Souls and frozen lightning puzzle solution
Every few rounds, you’ll be able to spot lightning striking down over the Diner area in Exit 115. This next step can’t be completed until this is happening though, so feel free to work on any other steps or prep you might need until then.
Once the lightning is striking down, you’ll need to shoot the clock in Ashwood once again with the DG-2 turret to go purple. You can then use a jump pad to jump straight to Exit 115’s Diner, and you'll then need to shoot the clock on top of the workshop there.
This will freeze the lightning in place, but it's worth noting that this kicks off a timer, so you might want to read ahead before beginning this step so you know what you're getting into.
Whilst you can get all three parts of this step done in one timer, it's very challenging to do so especially if playing solo. You can do this over multiple rounds as well, but just keep in mind that the lightning isn't activate every single round, so you might have to wait a bit before this step can be properly completed.
Additionally, a player will need the perk Melee Machinato for one aspect of this step.
As a final note before jumping into what you'll need to do, be sure not to kill any of the zombies you're leading to the lightning at any point of this process as you need their souls to be set free for this step to be complete. If you do accidentally kill one of the zombies though, they should respawn, though you may have to wait another couple of rounds depending on the lightning.
Waitress location and Purple Lightning solution
Whilst the lightning is frozen, you’ll need to use a melee attack with the perk Melee Macchiato to hit the cash register to open it. In doing so, this revives the nearby, purple-glowing Waitress zombie.
Once she’s up, you’ll need to lead her to the Purple frozen lightning on top of the Diner.
Now move onto the next zombie.
Mechanic location and Yellow lightning solution
For the second zombie, you’ll need to summon Klaus to stomp nearby a car in the workshop which revives the yellow-glowing Mechanic zombie - you can summon Klaus via the radio box, also in the workshop.
Once he’s up, lead the Mechanic to the Yellow frozen lightning which is on top of the workshop.
Now move onto the third and final zombie.
Trucker location and Red lightning solution
This final zombie requires you to use Tessie's Abomination Beam to hit a shipping container, before crashing into it with Tessie - be wary you don't kill the Trucker who is located just to the left of the container.
This should cause the Trucker to get up and begin running, and you’ll then lead him to the Red lightning which is on the roof covering the gas station.
Once that’s done, you’re free to move onto the following step.
Vandorn Farm puzzle solution and Artifact locations
To start this next part, you’ll need to once again make sure that the clock in Ashwood is frozen with Tessie'ss turret, and then use the Necrofluid Gauntlet to shoot one of the glowing clock faces before heading over to Vandorn Farm.
Once there, you’ll want to head inside the farmhouse where a family of corpses are sat around a table and look at both the etched Roman numerals on the ground around the table, as well as the clock on the wall near the father’s position at the table.
Essentially, whatever the time on the wall-clock, you’ll want to stand on that particular etched time on the floor - for example, if it’s 9 o’ clock, you’ll stand on the IX on the floor, or if it’s 12, you’ll stand on the XII.
The floor markings itself are laid out with the times in the same positions you’d expect to see them on a real clock - 12 (XII) at the top, 3 (III) on the right, 6 (VI) at the bottom, and 9 (IX) on the left.
Once you’ve got your time, look at the father who will then slowly begin to turn his head towards you (which is totally not creepy…).
After he has fully turned his head, his eyes will begin glowing red, and it’s at that point you’ll want to shoot him with the Necrofluid Gauntlet.
Next up, it’s time to collect four artifacts from around the farm before placing them in set locations - these won't have a popup to interact with them, but by holding interact you'll automatically pick them up.
Tasty-Face location
You can find Tasty-Face nearby Stamin-Up, around the location of the cabinet in the bedroom - hold interact around this area and you should pick it up eventually.
Pa’s Pigsticker location
The second artifact is Pa’s Pigsticker, which is located in the Garage on a desk - where you can often find the Mystery Box.
Junior’s Fun Face location
The third artifact, Junior’s Fun Face, is found inside the Barn.
Head inside, and at the top of the stairs near the hay stacks and window, you should be able to collect the item by interacting with it.
Ma’s Chalice location
The fourth and final item, Ma’s Chalice, is located in the basement.
Specifically, you can interact with the item inside of the bath tub to add it to your inventory before continuing on with the next step.
Farm Artifact puzzle trial solution
With all four artifacts collected, you’ll want to head back outside and place each of the artifacts on glowing red sigils along the ground.
Each one has a specific icon, but the game will automatically place the correct artifact down. These are all fairly close to each other and are relatively okay to spot, but we’ve listed the locations below:
- Outside, to the left of the barn, between a truck and haystack
- Behind truck, in front of the barn
- On farm grounds, along the main path, close to the last artifact
- If facing the area's exit gate, to the right of the previous location
Once these are all placed, a trial will begin - similar to the lockdown in Yuri’s Lab earlier - and you’ll need to defend the four locations from the attacking zombies, so make sure you’te prepared and stocked up on ammo and perks!
Following that process, you can move onto getting the final soul.
Blackwater Lake Souls and Reel locations
To kick off the penultimate step of the main quest, you need to head over to Blackwater Lake and interact with a soul on the dock.
Once that’s done, it’s back to Ashwood to shoot another clock face with the Necrofluid Gauntlet (again… this is the last time, don’t worry).
You’ll then want to head back over to Blackwater and shoot the projector with the Necrofluid Gauntlet to cause the projector to display various images that you’ll need to pay close attention to what they show.
Whilst the images can be the same for all players, the order will differ each time, so you’ll really need to make note of not just the locations themselves, but the order they are shown in too.
Thankfully, the locations shown are all around Blackwater Lake, so once you’ve got the order down, you’ll just need to visit each of those areas in your specific order, and collect film reels by shooting them with the Necrofluid Gauntlet. Once they have all been shot, you can then use the reload function to complete the step
If you get the order wrong, the game will 'reward' you with a jump-scare - so if that happens, you'll know you made a mistake, and will have to wait until the next round to try again.
Here are the possible locations we’ve seen so far:
- Back of the cabin image: Reel is under the wooden stairs behind the back of the cabin
- Front of cabin image: On top of a shelf on second floor of the cabin, near the power switch
- Back left of the lodge image: Reel will be on a shelf inside a hut behind Power Pump
- Building on the right side of the lodge image: Reel up on rafters in the ceiling
Once this is done, new intel should spawn around the area, each of which is glowing blue, and you can also move onto the next part.
Head up to the bedroom inside the lodge and interact with a newly-appeared, misty soul. This will open up a box where the soul was.
Afterwards, head out to the dock where you’ll find the device that lets you call in Klaus. Once he’s arrived, lead him into the bedroom in the lodge where you found the soul to see a short sequence play out.
Klaus will return to the dock after this, and from that point on you are free to interact with him to enter the final encounter of this main quest.
How to begin the Ashes of the Damned boss fight
Before diving head first into the final parts of this main quest, you’ll really want to make sure you’re prepared with everything you can get your hands on. Perks, Pack-a-Punched weapons, Gobblegums, Tier 3 Armor, and more - it’s all going to be vital for your survival in this final section.
As an additional note, you can continue with the map after you’ve beaten the boss, but you and your team will be given that option following the completion of the encounter.
Requiring you are ready, interact with Klaus at the docks to proceed to the next step in which souls will fly out around the map.
Soul locations with Tessie
This next part can be a little extensive, but essentially you’ll have to drive around through the foggy connecting areas between each of the map’s zones to collect various souls. These will look similar to the previous ones you’ve found in other parts of the easter egg quest so far.
Each zone has three souls to find, with twelve in total to find, and the locations you’ll be searching through are as follows:
- Between Blackwater and Janus Towers Plaza (starting area)
- Between Janus Towers and the Farm
- Between Farm and Ashwood
- Between Ashwood and Blackwater
There’ll of course be many enemies in these areas as you’re searching, so be sure to have teammates taking them out as soon as possible.
Make sure you’re also driving through as many of the green, healing pods to stay topped up on health.
If you miss any souls, or run into an issue where you can’t find them, it might help to go to the next round and try again. One thing to keep an ear out for too, is if you hear a gong sound - this seems to indicate if you’ve left an area without collecting all three of its souls.
Once you’ve collected all twelve of the souls, the game will teleport you into the encounter with the final boss - make sure you’re ready!
How to defeat Veytharion in Ashes of the Damned Black Ops 7 Zombies
Collecting all twelve souls teleports you into the boss fight arena, complete with an introductory cutscene in which the boss is revealed. You’ll load in whilst still inside Ol’ Tessie, and much of this fight revolves around staying mobile both in and outside of the vehicle.
As with the bosses in other Zombies quests, they have a variety of attacks alongside other enemies like zombies and bears which will also make it all the more challenging.
To run through the main ones you'll want to keep an eye out for, we've put together a short table below to give you an idea of what to expect from each attack:
| Attack/Ability Description | Tips and Further Info |
|---|---|
| Rocket/Bomb Attack | This move will rain down rockets around you, signified by red circles that appear. You'll want to avoid standing near this so as to not take damage. You'll have to stay mobile as much as possible. |
| Ol' Tessie Grab Attack | Occasionally, the boss may grab and throw Ol' Tessie which will completely incapacitate the vehicle. You'll have to wait a bit of time before it starts to heal itself, and you can heal it with Salvage. Be sure to pick the right moment for this though, so you don't get caught in any other attacks. |
| Electrical Beam | Veytharion will occasionally also shoot an electrical beam which is highly dangerous and can easily one-shot you. Be sure to stand behind the pillars in the room during this attack so you can avoid all the damage. |
| Immunity | At various points during the fight, Veytharion will go immune. During this points, you'll have to pick up purple energy whilst in Ol' Tessie to then boost charge into the boss to break the immunity. Though keep in mind, this is only temporary, so you'll have limited windows in which to deal damage in these moments. |
In terms of dealing damage, most of this will be left up to you and your weapons, but you can use the ramps in the middle of the arena to get some air time and smash into the boss with Tessie’s Boost function. This can be a reliable way to deal a more sizeable amount of damage.
Things to keep an eye out are the damage you’re dealing against the boss, and how it has both armoured and unarmoured parts of its body. To give a quick rundown of what the colour of damage numbers indicates:
- Hits on unarmoured areas lead to white damage numbers
- Hits on armoured areas lead to blue damage numbers
The boss will also sometimes reveal a red weak point on one of its heads you can shoot for more damage, so you should definitely take advantage of this. Though after a certain amount of damage, the head will burst and you’ll have to return to shooting at the usual spots.
Overall, this boss is very tanky, and you should expect this fight to take you some time to complete, particularly on a first attempt. Not just that, but it can be very challenging with some of the boss’ attacks and the fact that it has so much health. The boss going in and out of immune phases which it’ll seemingly do right up until the very end of the fight can make it even more challenging than it already is.
You’ll be happy to know though that – after the long ordeal battling this foe - you’ll be done with the main quest and can enjoy a final cutscene to conclude this map’s main quest.
Congrats and hope you enjoyed your time with the main quest! If you're looking for more help with this easter egg quest, then check out our guides on recruiting Klaus, the Necrofluid Gauntlet Wonder Weapon, how to upgrade Ol' Tessie and how to get free Wisp Tea.
