Pokémon Go High Voltage Collection Challenge, research tasks and bonuses
Shiny Morpeko debuts in Pokémon Go!
High Voltage celebrates Electric-types in Pokémon Go with the release of shiny Morpeko.
It's a good idea to complete the High Voltage research tasks and the Charged Cuties Collection Challenge as these will be useful in hunting down this shiny hamster. Plus, you'll be able to enjoy the regular Pokémon Go rewards.
There are also some useful High Voltage bonuses, with one being very handy when it comes to expanding your shiny Pokémon collection.

The High Voltage event is currently running. There's a lot to do in Pokémon Go outside of the current event! First, it's worth learning about the level update. After this, you might want to fight in the Go Battle League, use Party Play, compete in a PokéStop Showcase or explore a Route for its Gift Exchange. Keep an eye out for rare Pokémon and don't forget to collect Max Particles, so you can battle Dynamax Pokémon in Max Battles.
Shiny Morpeko debut
High Voltage marks the release of shiny Morpeko in Pokémon Go! Morpeko is an interesting Pokémon because it has two forms - Full Belly Mode and Hangry Mode - and each one has its own shiny form.
You'll be able to catch Morpeko via the High Voltage research tasks, Charged Cuties Collection Challenge, Go Battle League encounter rewards, snapshot photobombs and even the pay-to-play Timed Research quest.
Let's start with shiny Full Belly Morpeko as that's the form you'll typically see Morpeko in. Shiny Full Belly Morpeko switches out the yellow stripe running down its middle for a white one, which is really cool as it makes Morpeko's other colours stand out more.
Sadly shiny Hangry Morpeko is far less exciting and you wouldn't be amiss for thinking nothing has changed when first looking at it. This is because its middle stripe has changed from purple to a… darker shade of purple… Seriously I had to properly stare at my monitor to pick up the difference. Thankfully, you'll rarely see Morpeko in this form.
